How to care for it

it's handmade.
treat it like that.

a few small habits will keep your piece looking the way it did when we mailed it. these are the same rules we use ourselves.

cleaning

check the care note on the product page first — it's specific to what you bought. when in doubt, go gentle and cool.

for soft goods: cold water, mild soap, no dryer. for ceramics + glass: hand-wash only. for prints + candles: keep them dry and out of direct sun.

never twist or wring fabric pieces. press the water out between two towels and lay flat to dry.

storing

fold soft pieces loosely, never hang — they stretch when they hang and never quite go back.

tuck a cedar block in the drawer to keep moths off anything fabric — they're very interested in natural fibres.

keep prints flat or framed, and candles somewhere cool so they don't warp. store fabric in a cotton bag, not plastic — it needs to breathe.

fixing it

if a seam pulls or a thread frays, don't cut it — gently work it back into place. a tiny dab of clear nail polish seals a frayed end.

for a chip or a broken clasp, a little epoxy or a jeweller can usually sort it.

anything you can't fix, send us a photo. we'll usually repair it for the cost of return shipping.
