Question 1

What is kynq?

Accepted Answer

kynq is a 1-to-1 random video chat for adults in India. Tap Start matching and you're connected to someone new. You can chat by text, play quick games, add people you click with as friends, and tap Next person to move on whenever you like.

Question 2

How does matching work?

Accepted Answer

You pick a topic and where to match (worldwide, India, or your state). We pair you with someone who's online and fits, and we avoid people you've blocked or just talked to. If nobody suitable is around yet, you wait a moment while we keep looking.

Question 3

Is kynq free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Video chat, text chat and the basic games are free. A few extras use Koins, like choosing who to match with or trying premium camera effects. You earn Koins just by chatting.

Question 4

Do I need to sign in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You continue with your Google account, so there's no password to remember. We also ask for your date of birth once, to confirm you're 18 or older.

Question 5

Does kynq work on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It runs in your phone's browser, so there's nothing to download. Allow camera and microphone access when your browser asks.

Question 6

Why do I sign in with Google?

Accepted Answer

Signing in with Google gives you an account, so your date of birth, Koins, friends and blocks are tied to you. There's no password to create or remember.

Question 7

Can I use kynq on an iPhone or Android phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. kynq runs in your phone's browser, so there's no app to install. Allow the camera and microphone when your browser asks.

Question 8

Who can use kynq?

Accepted Answer

Only people who are 18 or older. We check the date of birth you give us before you can match, though we can't verify it against an ID. If you think someone is under 18, report them.

Question 9

Is my video recorded?

Accepted Answer

No. We don't record or store your video or audio. Keep in mind the other person could still record their screen, so only show what you're comfortable with. Text chat messages are stored so they can be delivered and shown in your history.

Question 10

How do I report or block someone?

Accepted Answer

During a call, tap the flag icon, pick a reason and send. You can also choose Block and end call, which ends it immediately and means you won't be matched with that person again. You can email hi@kynq.in about anything after a call.

Question 11

What happens after I report someone?

Accepted Answer

We can't watch live calls, so we review reports afterwards. Accounts that break the rules can be restricted or banned, and accounts that keep being reported can be restricted automatically until we've looked.

Question 12

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Email hi@kynq.in from the address on your account with the subject "delete my account". We'll confirm it's you and complete it within 30 days, apart from safety records we're required or need to keep. See our privacy policy for details.

Question 13

Does kynq store my chats?

Accepted Answer

Video and audio aren't recorded or stored by kynq. Text chat is stored so it can show in your history, so don't type anything you wouldn't want kept.

Question 14

Why is kynq 18+ only?

Accepted Answer

kynq is for adults. We ask for your date of birth before you can match and block anyone under 18. We can't verify it against an ID, so we also rely on reports.

Question 15

What happens when I block someone?

Accepted Answer

Blocking ends the call straight away and you're never matched with that person again. You don't have to report someone to block them.

Question 16

How do I earn Koins?

Accepted Answer

You earn Koins for time spent chatting: +10 Koins for every 10 minutes, plus a one-time +20 bonus after your first 10 minutes. You can also earn some by winning games, and by inviting friends.
