What Monkey is

Monkey pairs you with a random stranger for a quick video chat, with a swipe to move on to someone else. It says it has millions of users worldwide, matches people by shared interests, and has a "DUO Mode" for chatting together with a friend. It's a global app — its own site doesn't mention India specifically. As of September 2026 we couldn't find it on Apple's App Store; it's on Android and in the browser.

Why people look for a Monkey alternative

• kynq matches you with someone else in India. Monkey matches globally, with no India-specific option mentioned on its site.

Is kynq the same as Monkey?

No, they're separate, unrelated apps. kynq is a random video chat built for adults in India; Monkey is a global random video chat app.

Do I need to download anything?

No. kynq runs in your browser on a phone or laptop, no app or install needed.

Does kynq have interest matching like Monkey?

You can save topics you're into on your kynq profile, but matching doesn't currently filter by them — you're matched with anyone in India who's online at the time.
