What is kynq?
kynq is a free random video chat for adults 18 and over in India. You tap a button, you're matched with someone else in India who's online, and you talk. If you'd like to move on, you tap Next person.
It runs in your browser on a phone or laptop, so there's no app to download. Here's what it is, how to start, and what you can do once you're on a call.
18+ only. Free to start, sign in with Google.
How kynq works
- Open kynq.in and tap Start chatting.
- Sign in with Google. There's no password to create.
- Confirm your date of birth and phone number. You must be 18 or over.
- Allow the camera and microphone, and you'll be matched with someone in India.
- Tap Next person any time to move on to someone new.
What you can do on a call
- Talk on video, and send text messages and GIFs alongside.
- Use conversation starters when you don't know what to say.
- Play one of seven mini-games, including tic-tac-toe, would-you-rather and truth-or-dare.
- Use camera effects. Some cost Koins.
- Send virtual gifts, bought with Koins.
- Add someone as a friend if you hit it off, and message them later.
What are Koins?
Koins are kynq's in-app currency. You earn them by chatting, and spend them on extras like some games, camera effects and gifts. We explain how they work on our Koins page.
How kynq stays 18+ and safe
- It's for adults only. We ask for your date of birth before you can match, but we can't verify it against an ID, so we also rely on reports.
- Video and audio aren't recorded or stored by kynq. The other person could still record their own screen.
- Skip, report and block are in the call controls, and blocking ends the call and stops future matches with that person.
- You're matched with someone else in India, and we avoid pairing you again with someone you just talked to.
What kynq isn't
- It isn't instant and anonymous. You sign in with Google first.
- It isn't an app yet. It runs in the browser.
- It isn't risk-free. No random video chat can promise that.
