About kynq

What kynq is

• A one-to-one video chat with a person you haven't met, matched within India.
• Text chat with GIFs, conversation starters, seven mini-games and camera effects alongside the video.
• Friends and messages, so a good conversation can carry on afterwards.
• Koins, an in-app currency you earn by chatting and spend on a few extras.

What we focus on

• Adults only. We ask for a date of birth before you can match and block anyone under 18.
• India. Matching is within India, so time zones and languages are usually shared.
• Privacy. Video and audio aren't recorded or stored by kynq.
• Simple safety tools. Skip, report and block are in every call.

How we approach safety

No random video chat can promise you'll never meet someone unpleasant, and we don't claim kynq can. We can't verify a date of birth against an ID, so we also rely on reports. Reports are saved against the call and reviewed by a person, and an account that collects three open reports is restricted from matching while that review happens. Blocking ends the call and stops future matches.

Programs

Students in India who are 18 or over can apply to our campus ambassador program, a volunteer program with goodies and Koins. It isn't paid work.
