A Bazoocam alternative, built for India

What Bazoocam is

Bazoocam (bazoocam.org) pairs you with a random stranger on video, with a Next button to move on. Its homepage describes a location-based algorithm that pairs you with people who live close to you, support for languages including French, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish, and a few built-in games such as Tetris, Tic Tac Toe and 4 in a row. It says it's moderated constantly by more than 40 people and that rule-breakers can be banned for 20 days. We couldn't confirm an app, pricing, an age policy or who runs it.

Why people look for a Bazoocam alternative

• They want to meet people in India, not people near a French-speaking audience.
• They'd like a stated age rule and a date-of-birth check. We couldn't find an age policy on bazoocam.org.
• They want to be sure they're on the real service, since many similar-looking sites exist.

How kynq compares

• kynq matches you with someone else in India. Bazoocam says it pairs you with people near you, and its homepage highlights several European languages.
• kynq is for adults 18 and over, asks for your date of birth before you can match and blocks anyone under 18. We couldn't confirm Bazoocam's age rules.
• kynq asks you to sign in with Google. We couldn't confirm whether Bazoocam requires an account.
• Both have games. kynq has seven you play during the call, including would-you-rather and truth-or-dare. Bazoocam lists a few classics.
• kynq doesn't record or store video or audio. We couldn't confirm Bazoocam's policy, because we couldn't find an official privacy page.
• Bazoocam says it's moderated by a team of more than 40 people. kynq has report and block in the call, with reports reviewed by our team.

Check you're on the real one

Plenty of sites use the Bazoocam name with different endings. If you decide to try it, be careful about which one you're on and what you enter. The same goes for any random chat service.

Switching in three steps

• Tap Start chatting and sign in with Google.
• Confirm your date of birth. You must be 18 or over.
• Allow the camera and microphone, say hello, and you'll be matched with someone in India. Tap Next person whenever you like.
