Emerald Chat matches you with strangers by shared interests and uses a reputation system it calls Karma. If you want people in India specifically, or don't want to create a password-protected account just to try it, kynq is worth a look.

What Emerald Chat is
Emerald Chat pairs you with a stranger by text or video, and lets you add interests so you're matched with people into similar things. It requires creating an account with an email and password (you stay anonymous to other users). It mentions being connected across "180+ countries" but doesn't focus on India specifically, and doesn't state an age policy on the page we checked.
How kynq compares
- kynq matches you with someone else in India. Emerald Chat is global, with no India-specific option mentioned.
- kynq signs you in with Google — no password to create or remember. Emerald Chat asks you to set up an account with an email and password.
- kynq asks for your date of birth before you can match, and blocks anyone under 18. We didn't find an age policy stated on Emerald Chat's site.
- Emerald Chat has a "Karma" reputation system and priority matching as a premium feature. kynq doesn't rank or score users.
- Emerald Chat matches by shared interests as a core feature. On kynq, you can save topics you're into on your profile, but matching doesn't currently filter by them — you're matched with anyone in India who's online.
