An Omegle alternative with games built in
The hardest part of talking to a stranger is the first minute. kynq is a random video chat for adults in India with seven mini-games you can play during the call, so there's always something to do besides wondering what to say.
Omegle was built around chat alone, as far as we remember. This page covers what games kynq has, how they work, and what they cost.
18+ only. Free to start, no download.
The seven games
- Tic-tac-toe: the classic, quick enough to play while you talk.
- Rock-paper-scissors: best of three settles anything.
- Would-you-rather: pick between two awkward options and explain yourself.
- Truth-or-dare: keep the truths light and the dares harmless. You can skip any you dislike.
- Quick quiz: a few fast questions to see who knows more.
- Guess the word: one hints, the other guesses.
- This-or-that: rapid-fire choices like chai or coffee, cricket or football.
How they work
You start a game from the call screen and the other person is invited to join. Both of you see the same game, and the moves happen live. It's the same call, with no switching apps or sharing screens.
What they cost
Some games are free to start and a few cost a small number of Koins, kynq's in-app currency. Whoever starts a paid game pays, and the other player can accept or decline and plays free. Winning a game can earn you a few Koins, with a daily limit. You can also earn Koins just by chatting.
Beyond the games
- Conversation starters, if you'd rather talk than play.
- Text chat with GIFs alongside the video.
- Camera effects, some of which cost Koins.
- Skip, report and block, always one tap away.
Not the right fit if
You want to start instantly without signing in. kynq asks you to sign in with Google and confirm your date of birth first, so it isn't instant and anonymous.
